Creating a great profile is one of the best things you can do to increase your chances of getting a job. Here’s our step-by-step guide on making your profile stand-out from the crowd…
Start with your CV
Is your CV as good as it can be? Quite often employers will look at your CV first, so make sure it includes all your relevant experience, and if you have any skills which you think could make your applications stand out, be sure to include them too. It’s a good idea to write about your achievements rather than just your responsibilities, so employers know that you’re willing to work hard in order to achieve great results.
Add your certificates
Do you have an EFZ in retail sales? Or did you just complete an online course in barkeeping? Whatever extra skills you may have, it’s important that employers know about them.
Head to the profile settings menu and select documents to get started. Once there you can upload your certificates and diplomas, all of which will show up on your profile when an employer is looking for staff.
Some of the jobs will require a dress code. On the Coople Job App, you have the option of uploading more than just your profile picture, you can also upload a formal full-length photo, as well as a casual portrait and a casual full length photo. By adding all of these, you can show employers you are suited to a wide range of roles.
Add your language skills
Parlez-vous français? Sprechen Sie Deutsch? If you speak another language, make sure the employers know about it! You can add your written and spoken language skills in a matter of moments via the language skills option in the profile settings menu.
Add your driving licence
Your driving licence is more than just an ID document, sometimes employers want to hire Cooplers who can drive. Upload yours via the documents option in the profile settings menu.
Write a great about me section
In the personal information section of your profile, you have the chance to write about yourself. This is your opportunity to sell your skills and suitability to employers. Be enthusiastic and tell employers what you’re passionate about. Writing “five years hospitality experience with a passion for providing excellent customer service” sounds better than “five years hospitality experience.”
That’s it! You’ll also have to make sure you’re ready to work and that you have the right identification documents, but the more you add to your profile, the greater your chances are of getting hired. Good luck!
