Our strict policy not only minimises the risk of cancellations, but it also ensures you only get the most motivated workers at your jobs.
If a worker cancels a shift at late notice, strikes are applied to their account. As soon as they reach three strikes, their account is suspended.
How it works
Cancelling between one week and 24 hours before a shift = 1 strike.
If a worker cancels less than one week but more than 24 hours before their shift is due to start, they will receive one strike.
Cancelling less than 24 hours before a shift = 2 strikes
If a worker cancels less than 24 hours before the shift is due to start, they will receive two strikes.
Failing to turn up at a job = Instant 3 strikes
If a worker fails to turn up at a job, they will receive an instant three strikes and their account will be suspended.
The policy is clearly communicated to all our workers, as is the fact that the cancel shift option should only be used as a last resort. Should they choose to cancel however, the search is instantly restarted and our team will get to work on finding a suitable replacement.
We also closely monitor and review the policy to ensure it's as effective as possible in terms of both minimising cancellations and finding suitable replacements in time.
