What is a no-show?
A no-show is recorded when you do not attend a scheduled shift and did not cancel it in the Coople Jobs app before it started.
Calling or messaging the company does not replace cancelling in the app. If you know you cannot attend, cancel in the app as soon as possible. If you ask the company to cancel for you, or the company reports that you did not attend, Coople Trust records the applicable cancellation or no-show and it reduces your reliability.
Why is a no-show more serious than a cancellation?
A no-show leaves the company without the worker it expected and without enough time to find a replacement. It therefore has a stronger effect than any cancellation.
A no-show can:
Reduce your reliability significantly
Remove your badge
Limit your access to shifts
Lead to account suspension
What happens after a no-show is reported?
The event appears in your reliability history. The app shows:
The affected shift
Any change to your shift access
The option to appeal
Your next step or recovery path
I told the company I could not attend. Is it still a no-show?
You must cancel in the app even if you contact the company or Coople.
If you contacted the company to say that sickness or an accident prevented you from attending and the company reports this after the shift starts, Coople Trust records it as a cancellation. This is because you notified the company but did not cancel in the app.
What if the no-show is incorrect?
Open the event in your reliability history and check the shift details. Submit an appeal if:
You attended the shift.
The company cancelled the shift.
A genuine emergency prevented you from attending and cancelling.
Provide documents, messages, or other evidence that supports what happened.
How do I avoid a no-show?
Check your upcoming shifts regularly.
If you cannot attend, cancel in the app immediately.
Keep notifications enabled for shift reminders.
