The new 5-star scale gives you more room to distinguish between workers who fully met your requirements and workers who delivered something exceptional.
What’s changing
Worker ratings are moving to a new 5-star scale. Company ratings given by workers are also moving to a new 5-star scale.
Existing ratings are being preserved and migrated into the new display by adding one star.
This means:
a previous 3-star rating now shows as 4 stars
a previous 4-star rating now shows as 5 stars
and so on
A worker’s standing is not changing. Nothing is being removed or reset. We’re simply updating how ratings are displayed.
Why we’re making this change
The previous rating scale did not leave much room to distinguish between different levels of performance.
The new scale creates more clarity and makes ratings more meaningful over time. It helps differentiate more clearly between a worker who met expectations and a worker who went above and beyond.
The new 5-star rating scale
Here is an overview of the new rating scale:
How to use the new scale
A 4-star rating is already a strong rating. It means the worker fully met your requirements for the shift.
A 5-star rating should be used when a worker delivered exceptional performance and went above and beyond what was expected.
This distinction helps make ratings more useful and creates a clearer standard for evaluating performance consistently.

No. A 4-star rating is a strong and positive rating.
