Quick definitions
External rating: the rating you receive for a job you take on through Coople for a company.
Internal rating: the rating you receive from a company you're employed at internally, not handled through Coople.
Does this affect me?
This change only affects you if you work for a company both externally and internally (e.g. as a permanent employee). If you only work externally for companies, nothing changes for you — including your rating count or average.
What changed
Ratings you receive from a company you work for internally are now private. Since the switch from 4 to 5 stars, they're no longer shown in your public rating and aren't visible to other companies.
Internal ratings can't be viewed at the moment
You can't view your internal ratings at the moment. We're continuing work on our system in the background. This will change once this work is complete for your company (see below).
What this means for you:
Your external ratings (from Coople jobs) should remain visible and unaffected.
Internal ratings you received before this change haven't been deleted. They're simply no longer shown in your public rating.
If you notice something not covered here — for example, external ratings that seem to be missing — please reach out to our Support team. We're happy to take a look at your specific case.
Why this change?
Your internal work relationship with a company is between you and them — it shouldn't be automatically visible to other companies you apply to.
For workers who recently became internal
Did you recently become an internal employee at a company you previously worked externally for? A few things worth knowing:
Jobs scheduled before your switch to internal still count as an external rating — even if you were already internal by the time you were rated. What matters is the role the job was originally scheduled under, not your status at the time.
Whether a job counts as internal or external is decided by the company at scheduling time, not by you. If you think a job was categorized incorrectly, reach out to Coople Support.
We're working on this
We're continuing to bring more companies onto our newest system in the background, so that every company can eventually offer the same, improved rating experience. This transition happens gradually, without you needing to notice or do anything. We understand it can be irritating to see your visible rating count change, or to currently not see an internal rating. No new ratings will be lost during this transition — we appreciate your patience.
FAQ
Why can't I see my internal ratings?
Internal ratings from before the switch to 5 stars haven't been deleted, but they're no longer shown in your public rating. We're continuing to work on this in the background.
Why has my rating number or count changed?
If you also work internally for a company, internal and external ratings used to be blended into your visible rating. That's no longer the case, which can change your visible average or count.
Does this negatively affect whether I get chosen for new jobs?
No. Your external ratings — which are what other companies see when choosing workers — are unaffected. Internal ratings were never meant to represent you to other companies.
