How do I see the coverage of my open shifts?

Every open shift in your Planner shows, right on the grid, whether it still needs workers – no separate report to check.

The staffing count

Every open shift shows a small scheduled/required badge (e.g. "3/4"), colour-coded so you can spot problem spots at a glance:

Colour

Meaning

🟠 Orange

Still needs workers – scheduled is below what's required

🟢 Green

Fully staffed – scheduled matches what's required

🟡 Yellow

Overstaffed – more workers scheduled than required

⚪ Grey

The shift has already passed

You'll see this count at three levels, so you can zoom out or in as needed:

  • On the shift itself, in the Planner grid

  • Summed for the whole day, in the day's column header

  • Summed for the venue, in the venue's row

The applicants badge

Next to the staffing count, a small pill shows how many people have applied:

  • Coloured pill – the shift still needs workers, so these applicants are ones you can act on: review and schedule them into the open spot(s).

  • Grey pill – the shift is already fully staffed. Any applicants shown here are on the waitlist – kept in case a scheduled worker drops out, but there's nothing to action right now.

Good to know

  • There's no separate coverage dashboard – everything you need is right there on the Planner grid.

  • Both badges update automatically as new people apply, or as you schedule or decline applicants – nothing to refresh or configure.

  • Past shifts always show grey, regardless of how well they were staffed.
