How can I stop the hiring process?

Pause an open shift to stop it accepting new applications, or delete it entirely once no worker is scheduled on it.

To stop hiring for an open shift, pause it – this stops it from accepting new applications right away. You can also delete it entirely, but only once no worker is scheduled on it.

Pausing an open shift

In the Planner, click the three dots on the open shift and choose Pause. It's hidden from the worker feed and stops accepting applications right away – but it's not deleted, and anyone already scheduled on it keeps their shift.

To start accepting applications again, click the three dots and choose Reopen.

Deleting an open shift

You can delete an open shift entirely, but only if no worker is currently scheduled on it. Click the three dots and choose Delete, then confirm.

If a worker is already scheduled, Delete isn't available – see «Cancelling a shift» to remove them first.

Good to know

  • There's no single switch to stop hiring for a whole job role at once – pause (and, where possible, delete) each open shift individually.

  • Pausing doesn't cancel anyone already scheduled – see «Cancelling a shift» if you need to remove a worker from a shift.
