How do I offer a shift to a specific Coopler?

When you want one particular Coopler for a shift — instead of opening it to applications — create the shift directly for them. They receive an offer to accept, and once they accept they're scheduled.

Offering a shift vs. an open shift

There are two ways to fill a shift:

  • Open shift — you post the shift and any matching Coopler can apply; you then schedule from the applicants.

  • Offered shift — you pick one specific Coopler and create the shift just for them. It goes out as an offer that only they can accept or decline.

Use an offer when you already know who you want — for example a Coopler who has worked with you before.

Who you can offer to

You can offer a shift to any Coopler in your workspace's pools who has the job role you're staffing. If the Coopler you want isn't there yet, add them to the job role first.

How to offer a shift

  • In the Planner, open the job role and use Add workers to search for the Coopler by name, email or phone, and add them. They appear as their own row.

  • Click the day you need in that Coopler's row to open the shift editor.

  • Set the start and end time, wage, break, venue and supervisor. To offer the same shift across several days, turn on Repeat.

  • Click Publish. The Coopler receives the offer in their Coople app.

What happens after you publish

The shift's status shows you where the offer stands:

  • Offered — waiting for the Coopler to review.

  • Scheduled — the Coopler accepted; they'll attend the shift.

  • Declined — the Coopler turned the offer down; you can offer the shift to someone else.

  • Withdrawn — you took the offer back.

Withdraw an offer

While a shift is still Offered, open it and choose Withdraw. The shift is removed from the Coopler and the offer ends. This can't be undone.

Good to know

  • For Cooplers hired through Coople, the wage must be at least the minimum for the job title, wage class and venue — you'll see a cost estimate as you type.

  • When you create the shift we check the Coopler's qualifications for the role and Swiss working-time rules (rest periods, maximum hours), and flag anything that doesn't fit.

  • Repeat lets you offer a run of days in one go.

  • If the Coopler is one of your internal workers, you can choose to schedule them directly instead of sending an offer — they're placed on the shift without needing to accept.
