Coople is your legal employer. The UK government asks us to check your right to work with us before we can legally hire you.

The good news is that you only need to do this once. After we approve your right to work, you’ll be able to work across more than 140 roles, receive payment and get benefits like holiday pay and pension.

Add your right to work documents

Step 1: Add your right to work documents to your profile:

  1. Open the Coople Job App

  2. Tap on your Profile

  3. Tap on Documents

  4. Add the details and documents to prove your right to work. Please make sure that you:

  • Upload a copy of the front and the back of any document

  • Check that the entire document is visible, we can’t accept cut off images

  • Ensure the text is clear and easy to read, not blurred

Step 2: Do your right to work check:

  1. Go to your Dashboard

  2. Tap on the right to work message

  3. Start your right to work check

What happens next?

During your right to work check, a member of our team will:

  1. Verify that the details you have shown us are the same details that you’ve uploaded to your profile

  2. Confirm your identity by looking at the documents you've added to your profile

If all is well, you’ll receive an email confirming that we have checked your right to work. It usually takes us less than 24 hours. If your details are unclear, a member of our team will contact you so that you can add them again.

Once you have the right to work checked, you’ll be able to apply for jobs and get hired.

After you do your right to work check, complete these steps so that you can work with Coople:

  1. Add your work experience, your CV, and a photograph. The more complete your profile is, the more likely you are to get hired.

  2. Add your National Insurance number, bank account details, address and HMRC declaration so that we can pay your wages once you start working.
