Tap a shift card in the calendar – whether it's an open shift or a shift for a specific worker – to open it for editing. The same form you used to create it comes back up, pre-filled with the current details.

Editing an open shift

Once it's published, you can still change the start and end time, breaks, venue, supervisor, number of workers, visibility, worker pools, and candidate profiles. The job role can no longer be changed once the open shift exists.

Editing is fully locked once the open shift has expired or been deleted.

From the same screen, the three-dot menu also gives you:

  • Pause or Reopen

  • Delete – only available while it's still a draft, or if no one is scheduled on it yet

Editing a shift for a specific worker

While the shift is still offered or scheduled, you can still change the worker, start and end time, venue, supervisor, and breaks. The job role can never be changed once the shift exists – not even while it's still offered. If the worker is a Coopler, wage stays editable too – there's no wage field at all for your own internal workers.

Editing locks once the shift moves past that point – for example once it's work-completed, marked as an absence, cancelled, or the offer has been withdrawn or declined, or the hours have already been approved.

If you change the start or end time or breaks on a shift that's already scheduled with a Coopler, it moves to Changes pending review instead of updating right away – the Coopler has to accept or decline the new terms, like a fresh offer. Decline cancels the shift; accepting makes the changes final. This doesn't apply to your own internal workers – their scheduled shifts update immediately.

From the same screen, you'll also see:

  • Withdraw – pulls back the offer, while the Coopler hasn't accepted yet

  • Unschedule – for internal workers

  • Cancel shifts – for Cooplers already scheduled; see Cancelling a shift for what happens next

See Planning internal workers for more on scheduling your own team.

Good to know

  • If a shift is part of a recurring series, editing it only changes that single shift – not the others in the series. Repeat options only show up when creating new shifts; there's no way on mobile to edit a whole series at once.

  • There's no three-dot menu needed to start editing – simply tapping the shift card opens it.
